Training with Matt Thomas
Recently FAST instructor Dik Chance travelled to the USA to train with legendary instuctor Matt Thomas, founder of the Model Mugging system and veteran trainer of self-defence instructors, law enforcement teams and government operatives.
Dik spent two days intensively training in handgun use and tactics. The time was split between range time utilising a variety of different weapons, and scenario training using low ballistic speed weapons.
The Model Mugging system that Matt developed in the early 1970s is the father of FAST training. Matt is a welcome friend of the FAST family, bringing both his training and his operational experience. Matt is still active as a body guard and trainer to many Hollywood names.
